The divorce proceedings of Dwayne Wade and Siohvaughn Funches were concluded in Chicago on Monday, July 22.
In addition to the $5 million that Wade is to pay Funches, the 2013 NBA champion guard from the Miami Heat will hand over the couple’s Chicago mansion and four high-end cars to Funches, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Both parties were also ordered to sign a non-disparage agreement banning them from talking badly about each other in public.
Court records show that throughout the divorce proceedings, which was filed by Wade in 2007, Wade has pleaded to settle the matter numerous times in spite of Funches being arrested twice and hiring numerous attorneys. Wade’s attorneys said that the generous settlement will allow Funches to live in luxury as long as she wants.
Wade will have sole custody of the former couple’s two sons.
